If you haven’t quite used up all the heat: put your hand warmers into an airtight bag and seal. The lack of an air supply will simply stop the warming process. The hand warmers will reactivate themselves when they are removed later. This process can be repeated again and again until the entire heat emission period indicated on the product is reached.
The hand warmers can be stored for many years if unopened. You can find the exact expiry date on the packaging. The hand warmers are usually still functional for years after the expiry date has elapsed, however the properties of the activated charcoal warmer may diminish. This means that the overall warming time could reduce and the maximum temperature may be exceeded.
Open packaging at the marked position and remove hand warmers. After a few minutes of activation, hold the warmers in your hands, or put it in your gloves or jacket pockets. One-time use: After the warmers have completely cooled down, dispose of them as general waste. Store in dry and cool place. Use by: see edge of packaging.
The hand warmers can be placed in a semi-open environment such as a jacket or trouser pocket directly after opening. Air activation is not necessary. The warmer pads will activate themselves after a few minutes.
In order to guarantee an optimum warming experience, we recommend activating the hand warmers before you feel cold. For example, if you have planned a long outdoor walk or you would like to go skiing, it’s best to already start using the pads shortly before your adventure begins. This means that hands will stay evenly warm for many hours.
This is because the hand warmers heat up to higher temperatures than the insole foot warmers or toe warmers. The top temperature of the hand warmers of 68° Celsius may be uncomfortably warm for some. We recommend using our insole foot warmers or toe warmers to keep your feet comfortably warm.
The pleasant warmth generated by the warmers is transported and distributed throughout the entire body by the blood circulation. This process can be stopped if the hand warmers are pressed firmly against the skin when sleeping. The possible result of this is that the warmth is not optimally distributed and is concentrated on a small area of skin, which is then excessively warmed up.
Prevent direct contact with skin, except with hand palms. Remove the warmer immediately if it is uncomfortable or too warm. Do not use: on children (0-6); while sleeping, on body parts that are not sensitive to warmth. Supervised use only: on children >6, certain older or incapacitated persons. Contact a doctor before use in cases of: diabetes, circulatory disorders, arthritis, allergies, frostbite, bruises, contusions, swelling, heat sensitivity, injured or diseased skin. Do not cut or pierce the warmer. Warmer contains iron powder: In the event of contact with eyes or skin, rinse the affected area immediately with water and contact a doctor. If swallowed contact a doctor immediately. Store out of reach of children and animals. Not suitable for medical use. Dispose of in the household waste when cooled. Store in a cool, dry place. Expiry date: see edge of packaging. Contents: iron powder, salt, active charcoal, water, vermiculite.
